Thyristor Surge Suppressors

The Thyristor Surge Suppressors called “TSS” are characterized by the speed of reaction and surges blocking function. Low leakage current (~ 100μA) and connection capacity (at 10 ~ 100pF) meeting the quality requirements in data transmission circuits using energy consumption.

Comparing surge suppression by means of other technologies, these elements offer absolute protection against surges, independently of the available surge current and the speed of applied voltage.

These devices are characterized by such features:

• It cannot be damaged by load
• Eliminate hysteresis and heat dissipation typically found in clamping devices
• Eliminate overvoltage of rapidly rising transients
• They are not degenerative
• No fatigue observed
• They have low capacity, making them ideal for transmission equipment
• Meets MSL level 1, in accordance with J-STD-020
• Safety certification: UL: E244458
